Free yoga classes, outdoor film screenings and more in Sydney

Sydney’s cost of living crisis is here to stay and since it’s easy to spend your weekly budget on… sky-high city bars When the sun is shining, it’s always nice to hear about new free ways to have fun during the silly season. Great news for CBD residents is that the list of free things to do this summer has just increased – from Rocks The site announces a busy program including free yoga classes, community picnics and outdoor film screenings.

If you’re up for an active morning, join The Rocks freerunning club, which meets at First Fleet Park at 7:15am every Tuesday for an all-levels run around the harbour.

Want something a little slower? Free yoga classes will be held throughout the summer at Dawes Point Park (in the shadow of the Harbor Bridge) every Sunday at 8:30 and 9:30.

Want to hang out? Join the community picnic at Dawes Point Park on Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 5pm. Picnic rugs, pillows and blankets are provided, but you will need to bring your own food and drinks (Markets Rocks you’ve got your back).

If you’re in the mood for an outdoor film experience, The Rocks Laneway Cinema, a free cinema, returns this summer with magical outdoor screenings on the historic sandstone lane every Wednesday night. Tickets are free and available for booking the Monday before the show.
