A special documentary exploring the life of everyone’s favorite TV personality and hirsute biker, Dave Myers.

C King chronicles the life of hairy biker and best friend Dave Myers in a special BBC documentary.

During the program, C will highlight key moments from the last 25 years of Dave and C’s television careers, celebrating the special friendship that changed cooking shows forever.

It tells the story of the 45,000 bikes that joined C on a memorial journey from London to Dave’s home town of Barrow-in-Furness in April this year.

In memory of the late TV star, who died of cancer in February aged 66, motorcyclists from across the UK gathered to ride in a convoy to pay tribute to Dave.

The emotional ride was C King’s last as the hairy biker as he closes a chapter of incredible 25 years of memories with his cyclist brother.

An archive, new interviews and never-before-seen footage help celebrate Dave’s life, charting his journey around the world and creating a storm as one of television’s greatest double acts.

C says: “It was a special show. Full of nostalgia, laughter and celebration of my best friend and his life.”

Catherine Catton, Head of Bookings, Entertainment and Events, said: “Dave and C hold a special place in the nation’s heart and this emotional film pays tribute to an extraordinary friendship.”

Andrew McKenzie, executive producer of South Shore, says: “The outpouring of love for The Hairy Bikers this year has been extraordinary and it has been a real honor for everyone involved with them to document Dave Day and celebrate C and Dave’s past friendship. two decades.”

Hairy Bikers: You’ll Never Ride Alone was produced by South Shore for BBC Two. It was commissioned by Catherine Catton, Head of Commissioning, Factual Entertainment and Events. Commissioning Editor is Jasmine McGail. Executive producers are Andrew McKenzie and Melanie Leach.

The one-off hour-long special will air next month, just before Christmas.
