Ahead of ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ release, Rajpal Yadav apologizes for Diwali video

Mumbai, November 1 (IANS): Comedian Rajpal Yadav on Thursday took to social media to apologize for a Diwali video in which he asked people to refrain from bursting firecrackers.

In the new clip, he clarified that his intention was never to diminish the joy and festive spirit of Diwali. Taking to his Instagram account, Rajpal posted a video in which he apologizes if anyone’s feelings were hurt.

The ace comedian also wished fans a Happy Diwali. Alongside the video, Rajpal wrote in the caption: “I apologize from the bottom of my heart. My goal was not to diminish the happiness of Diwali… Diwali for us is a festival of happiness and light and making it wonderful for everyone is our real festival. Lots of best wishes and love to you all; let’s make this Diwali special together.”

Interestingly, the Masti Express actor apologized ahead of the release of Kartik Aryan’s Bhool Bhulaiya 3. Judging by his recent actions, the actor apologized to avoid controversy. Or have the makers of Bhool Bhulaiya 3 asked Rajpal to publicly apologize?

On October 27, Yadav raised eyebrows by posting a video appealing to Hindus in which he urged them not to burst firecrackers during Diwali. In the video, he claims that the holiday can be celebrated without the use of fireworks.

He stressed that loud noise could frighten animals and for this reason urged Hindus to refrain from using firecrackers during the festival. Meanwhile, Rajpal Yadav’s latest film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 releases in theaters today.

Directed by Anees Bazmee, the horror comedy also stars Kartik Aaryan, Vidya Balan, Tripty Dimri, Madhuri Dixit, Vijay Raaz and Sanjay Mishra. It should be noted that Yadav is the only actor who has acted in all three parts of Bhool Bhulaiya. The film surpassed Rohit Shetty’s police drama Singham Again at the box office.
