Ex-Lendlease boss to lead housing regeneration in Euston

Seeley, who has overseen major projects in London, Birmingham and Manchester, will lead Euston’s housing delivery team to lead the regeneration of the area.

The Delivery Group will include industry experts in urban design, landscape architecture, affordable housing development and large-scale project finance.

Their main aim is to attract more investment to Euston and stimulate economic growth across the capital.

Housing and Planning Minister Matthew Pennycook said: “The appointment of Bec Seeley as Chairman of Euston Housing Delivery Group is an important milestone in the regeneration of this historic area of London and supporting economic growth across the country.

“The Government will continue to work with the London Borough of Camden, the Mayor of London and local partners and communities to accelerate the delivery of a significant number of new homes and an expanded Knowledge Precinct next to a much improved Euston station.”

The announcement comes after it was also confirmed that HS2 trains will run to Euston, with funding provided for tunneling to the central London terminus, which will encourage private investment in the station and surrounding area.

The delivery team’s work begins immediately in Euston.

Seely said: “I am delighted to have been asked to lead EHDG as we embark on the task of delivering thousands of new homes to benefit the existing community and to support growth in one of the world’s leading knowledge and life sciences regions.

“My goal is for Euston to provide safe and welcoming homes, ensuring every resident feels safe and valued, and for Euston to also be a place that the UK is proud of on the world stage, driving our economy as a whole forward.”
