Ola Electric sold over 50,000 units and registered 41,605 units (as per Vahan) in October 2024, consolidating its market leadership in the two-wheeler electric vehicle segment.

A spokesperson from Ola Electric Mobility Limited said, “We had a truly successful festive season due to our strong portfolio, growth in consumer demand and strengthening of our sales network across India. We have witnessed increased adoption of electric vehicles, especially in tier 2 and tier 3 markets, and we are confident that this positive growth will continue in the coming months.”

The latest figures are encouraging amid heavy criticism of the company’s products on social media following an online spat between CEO Bhavish Aggarwal and comedian Kunal Kamra over alleged poor after-sales and customer service.

Last month, the Department of Consumer Affairs began investigating Ola Electric’s claim to have resolved 99 per cent of over 10,000 customer complaints regarding its electric scooters.
