If you’re thinking about what candy to give magicians this Halloween, your best bet may be the state’s favorite candy.

Holiday Calendar, which provides insight into the year’s holidays, analyzed which candies people prefer most in ranking the most popular Halloween candies by state in 2024. The results were collected after surveying 3,500 young people between October 1 and October 15.

Kentucky’s favorite candy topped only three other states’ rankings.

In Kentucky, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups were ranked the most popular candy of the Halloween season in 2024, according to the Holiday Calendar.

Here are the holiday calendar rankings for the five most popular candies in the state for the 2024 Halloween season:

  1. Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups

  2. Snickers

  3. Star formation

  4. Butterfinger

  5. Twix

What are the most popular Halloween candies?

“America’s favorite candy during the spookiest time of year is Skittles, topping the list in 22 states. In second place is Snickers, which ranks first in 9 states,” the report said.
