Peter Hook and The Light to Focus on New Order’s ‘Get Ready’ on 2025 Tour

After focusing on Joy Division and New Order Substance The 2024 tour will see the bassist return to the “severely underrated” 2021 album.

Spending 2024 singing songs from Joy Division and New Order. Substance live, Peter Hook & The Light will return to the US in 2025 with a new tour dedicated to New Order. Get ready.

The former Joy Division/New Order bassist’s tour kicks off May 22 in Montreal and currently runs for 13 dates through June 14 in Miami. Besides the game Get ready In general, each show will also feature classic costumes from Hook’s previous outfits.

“Get Ready was a honeymoon album,” Hook said in a statement about revisiting the 2001 album. “Looking back, it was a really nice thing to do and I think it’s very underrated. It really separated the wheat from the chaff and resulted in New Order mk2, which played better, but lost its naivety and became mature.”

However, Hook noted, problems arose when he and his New Order bandmate Bernard Sumner tried to take over Get ready on stage. “Unfortunately, the old problems recurred when we came to perform live. The writing has been on the wall ever since,” Hook added.

“We both worked really hard to make this album great and I think we succeeded. I’m looking forward to playing all the tracks, many of which have never been performed live before. The light will shine… Be ready!
