Hotel X adds new members to its executive team

Hotel X in Brisbane has added two new members to its management team.

Sian Curtis will begin work this month as sales director, while Tejal Narotam will be appointed as the hotel’s business development manager.

The latest recruits join Hotel X general manager Jeremy Colahan and marketing manager Alanna Kanowski, who has been appointed to the role on a permanent basis following a short-term appointment.

Sian Curtis

Curtis joins the team after ten years in events and sales, including working with hospitality executives Darling Group and the Melbourne Convention Center, where she served as Commercial Partnerships Manager, responsible for developing and managing long-term partnerships and new business development. In this role, she led the design team responsible for The Lume, the world’s largest digital immersive gallery experience.

“I’m a Melbourne girl and the food and drink industry is part of my DNA,” Curtis said.

“However, now is a very exciting time to join Brisbane’s thriving hospitality sector, and particularly the X Hotel.

“In another life I was a ballerina and lived in Brisbane, so this feels like a homecoming of sorts. The city is a special blend of Queensland warmth, vibrant creativity and cutting-edge design.

“Hotel X perfectly embodies all of these elements: authentic and sophisticated, incredibly creative and luxuriously sophisticated. It’s a 24-hour feast for the senses. As Director of Sales, I am excited to build relationships with existing and new clients, helping to bring truly outstanding events and experiences to life, creating long-lasting relationships that benefit everyone.”

Narotam joins the team after seven years in the corporate sector of Canberra’s leading hotels, most recently as Business Development Manager at Doma Hotels in Canberra, overseeing five hotels under the brand.

Prior to this, Narotam worked at the East Hotel as an event coordinator and then as a sales manager.
