TCS invests R million in Brazilian education partnership to boost technology innovation

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) today announced a R$50 million strategic partnership with Insper, a leading Brazilian higher education institution, to accelerate technology innovation across South America. The ten-year collaboration will focus on developing solutions using artificial intelligence, generative artificial intelligence, Internet of Things and spatial computing technologies.

At 11:55 am today, shares of Tata Consultancy Services Limited (TCS) were trading at ₹4,094.50, up ₹19.25 or 0.47 percent on the NSE.

The partnership aims to solve industry problems in the banking, manufacturing, healthcare and energy sectors. Key research initiatives include using satellite geosensing to improve agricultural yields, reduce offshore oil rig downtime, and speed up drug development using artificial intelligence.

Bruno Rocha, Head of TCS Brazil, emphasized the partnership’s goal of establishing stronger market linkages to serve different company profiles. The collaboration will leverage Insper’s academic expertise and TCS Pace methodology for innovation at scale.

The announcement comes as TCS continues to expand its operations in Brazil, where it has been present for over two decades. The company recently opened a new delivery center in Londrina, Paraná, and plans to create 1,600 jobs within five years. TCS currently serves more than 140 clients throughout Brazil through its branches in Londrina, Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.
