I rewatched La La Land and most of Emma Stone’s plot doesn’t make sense.

There’s no doubt that La La Land was one of best films of 2016. Not only was it adorable to see Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling falling in love on screen for the third time, but we also had catchy songs and impressive choreography, and it was a real love letter classic hollywood musicals. However, when I rewatch it, there is one peculiarity. 89th film nominated for an Academy Award It doesn’t make sense to me and it has to do with Emma Stone’s character Mia becoming an actress.

Mia lacks a clear path to professional acting

On end La La Land, The casting director at Mia’s one-woman show wants an aspiring actress to audition. While we have no idea if this audition led to her becoming a professional actress, it still doesn’t give us a clear picture of Mia’s career breakthrough.
