TYA is holding auditions, Dare to Dream and Seven Ages will hold shows in November

SHEBOYGAN – Youth Theater will hold auditions for the play Footloose, and Dare to Dream Theater and Seven Ages Theatricals will present the plays on stage in November.

Here’s the latest news on the local theater scene.

Auditions for “Free” will take place on November 4–5.

Theater for Young Audiences in Sheboygan will hold auditions for its flagship production of “Footloose” Nov. 4-5 at its home base, 931 N. Eighth St.

Listening times on November 4: 16:00-17, 17:30-18:30, 18:30-19:30 and 19:30-20:30.

Additional time slots on November 5: 16:00-17:00, 17:30-18:30, 18:30-19:30 and 19:30-20:30.

Callbacks – November 6th.

Audition participants don’t have to prepare anything, they must sing a song from the show, learn a short dance and read the script.

Rehearsals will be held at the TYA base, performances will take place from January 31 to February. 9 at the Bruce Cryer Performing Arts Center at Oostburg High School.

The musical “Disney’s Descendants” will run from November 8 to 17.

Sheboygan’s Dare to Dream Theater will present its fall production of the musical “Disney’s Descendants” November 8-17 at Sheboygan Lutheran High School.

Show time: 18:30 November 8; 11:00 and 18:30 November 9; 14:00, November 10; 18:30 November 15 and 16; and 14:00 November 17.

A special school matinee will take place at 13:00 on November 14th.

Tickets are $17 for adults, $12 for students and $6 for children. They can be purchased at Daretodreamtheatre.org or at the box office on the day of the performance.

Performances will take place at the Sheboygan Lutheran High School Performing Arts Center, 3323 University Drive.

Seven Ages offers “Never a Sinner” from November 21 to 24.

Seven Ages Theatricals, Sheboygan’s independent theater company, will present John Logan’s “Never a Sinner” at 7:30 p.m., Nov. 21-24 at My Place Bar and Grill, 1515 New Jersey Ave. Tickets can be purchased at https://buytickets. .at/sevenagestheatricals/1442754 or email [email protected].
