Bobby Lashley: AEW and Tony Khan allow legends to continue their careers

Bobby Lashley says Tony Khan allows wrestlers to continue their legacies in AEW.

Lashley recently appeared on The Lame Guys podcast, and while he didn’t say anything about a potential AEW debut, he did say that he spoke with MVP about how things are going in the company.

“I’m still friends with MVP, so I talked to him about going there and asked him, ‘How’s it going, they’re good you know?’ And a lot of people go there and say that Tony Khan is a really nice dude. As he sincerely tells some people who come there, he says, “You deserve to keep going if you want to.”

“I know Edge was kind of pinned down and Edge said, ‘No, I took some time off and I managed to get clean and I still have some stuff left in the tank,’” Lashley continued.

“I think Tony Khan came and said, ‘You deserve this. You are a legend in this business and you can help us and I think we can help you by maybe increasing your income over the next few years and I think that’s what they did and I think that MVP does the same. “

Last week, Lashley teased that “it’s time to put pen to paper” regarding his next wrestling contract. Meanwhile, former Hurt Business members and current Hurt Syndicate members MVP and Shelton Benjamin have become prominent members of AEW programming as of late. The new faction’s biggest match to date will take place on Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite when Benjamin takes on Swerve Strickland.
