The 2024 CFDA Awards took place tonight at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City, celebrating the best of American fashion. The annual ceremony honored industry leaders such as Fashion Icon Award winner Erykah Badu and American Womenswear nominee Rachel Scott of Diotima, recognized for their influence on the modern fashion landscape. But first the night started on the red carpet.

Badu arrived at the awards ceremony with kohl-lined lashes and a crystal-embellished headpiece. Meanwhile, the host of the evening, WickedCynthia Erivo portrayed her character Elphaba in wine red liner and French witch tips.

In Old Hollywood fashion, La La Anthony’s half-baked kiss curl curled between her threaded brows, while micro-cuts on models Paloma Elsesser, Aveng Chuole and Richie Shazam marked a new hair trend.

And while grunge makeup took the form of taupe eyeshadow, as seen on model Alva Claire, spring-approved colored eye makeup had its moment, too. See: blue eyeshadow on Tayla, graphic eyeliner on Coco Jones and cranberry under eyes on Winnie Harlow.
