2025 Royal Enfield Bear 650 Scrambler Style Revealed

Its website shows a 2025 Royal Enfield Bear 650 with a retro scrambler design. The Bear 650 is named after the Big Bear Run, a desert race in California, USA that was first held in 1921 and is still running today.

The name commemorates “Fast” Eddie Mulder’s victory in the 1960 Big Bear Run in a solo Royal Enfield 500 that ran from Lucerne to Fawnskin and back. With that in mind, the Bear 650 comes with a “249” race plate, marking Fast Eddie’s race number.

Powering the Bear 650 is a 648cc inline-twin Royal Enfield engine. Based on the specs, the base 650 Twin produces 47 hp. at 7250 rpm and torque of 52 Nm at 5250 rpm.

However, Royal Enfield claims that the Bear 650 has more low-end torque than the Royal Enfield 650 GT or 650 Interceptor. This corresponds to a power of 46.7 hp. at 7150 rpm and torque of 56.5 Nm at 5150 rpm, transmitted through a six-speed gearbox to the rear wheel.

Spoke wheel sizes are 19″ front and 17″ rear for the Bear 650 with 100/90 and 140/80 tubed tires. Braking is handled by single hydraulic discs front and rear, and dual-channel ABS is standard.

The Bear 650 weighs 216 kg and has 13.6 liters of fuel in the tank. There are four versions of the Royal Enfield 650 on sale in Malaysia: the Interceptor priced at RM33,700 and the Continental GT 650 retailing at RM35,600, while the Super Meteor 650 and Shotgun 650 are priced at RM37,900 and RM34. ,900 respectively.
