AJ Styles says he doesn’t want to be in any Hall of Fame while he’s still active

AJ Styles doesn’t want to be in any Hall of Fame until he stops acting.

On social media Monday night, Styles wrote that he, not WWE, is responsible for turning down the TNA Hall of Fame proposal, writing that he does not want to be part of any Hall of Fame as long as he is active in the ring .

“I’m still an active wrestler… I hope,” he wrote. “I made the decision not to go to the TNA HOF over the WWE. I appreciate TNA, but I don’t want to join any HOF while I’m still active. My choice.”

According to a report from Fightful Select, TNA reportedly approached WWE about inducting Styles into their Hall of Fame, and WWE ultimately passed on the idea. Although specific reasons were not given, some in TNA believed it was due to Styles’ current injury or storyline plans. Instead, the company hired Reno and longtime collaborator Bob Ryder last weekend before the release of Gloryland.

After some time away from television, Styles briefly returned to action earlier this month on SmackDown, but suffered a leg injury while wrestling Carmelo Hayes.
