Chef Ludo Lefebvre Leads Crypto.com Arena’s Culinary Lineup with Two New Food Stands – Daily News

The famous French chef Ludo Lefebvre becomes a regular at Crypto.com Arena. And that’s not because you can expect to see him sitting courtside watching the Lakers play, but instead he’ll likely be spotted wearing a chef’s coat inside some of the club’s most popular retail outlets.

“I want to be in the arena because I want to feed more people, cook for the masses,” Lefebvre said while standing on the roof of Crypto.com during a tasting that featured food from his two new concession stands.

The chef’s new fine dining establishments Ludobab and Trois Familia are located next to each other in the arena’s main hall and opened to coincide with the arena’s 25th anniversary. They join the fried chicken spot LudoBird, another of the chef’s signature eateries at the establishment, which opened in 2013.

Lefebvre is known for his innovative cuisine based on French culinary techniques, as well as for his time as chef at such popular restaurants as Petit Trois le Valley and L’Original Petit Trois in Hollywood, as well as appearances on shows such as Iron Chef America.” He said the goal of his stands is to give people food that rivals the food he serves in his high-end restaurants.

“I want fresh food in the arena. This is important to me, I want to feed people good food,” he said. “Everything we cook is made fresh here. Nothing will be frozen, so it’s very fresh vegetables and fresh meat.”

At Ludobab, he specializes in Mediterranean cuisine, offering dishes like hefty pita sandwiches generously stuffed with tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions, herbs and hummus with your choice of chicken or beef. He also serves kebabs, falafel and lemon rice bowls.

“I grew up in Paris and always loved kebabs. “Paris has a lot of kebab concepts, a lot of Mediterranean food, and I think it fits well into the scene because it’s very healthy,” he said.

Trois Familia is his homage to the city’s Mexican culture and cuisine, which he says has been a big influence since he moved here.

The menu at the booth includes hefty BBQ nachos with house-made queso, a corn-and-cheese quesadilla drizzled with a mildly spicy house-made sauce, and a Tres Leches cake that’s so moist it practically melts in your mouth. It’s covered in frosting and rainbow sprinkles.

But the star of the menu will likely be its Double Decker Potato Taco. It’s a large taco made with two crispy tortillas, chopped carrots, mashed potatoes, pico de gallo, lime juice and cheese.

“This is a very good taco, you have to try it, trust me,” Lefebvre said.
