BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Attention Vermonters affected by flooding this summer.

Monday is the deadline to apply for FEMA assistance if you haven’t already.

If you’ve been affected by floods, landslides or mudslides, you only have a few hours left to apply for federal assistance.

You are eligible for flood assistance from July 9 to 11 if you live in Addison, Caledonia, Chittenden, Essex, Lamoille, Orleans or Washington counties and your property was lost or damaged during the storm.

Areas identified for July 29-31 include Caledonia, Essex and Orleans counties.

If you are affected by both of these factors, you will have to submit separate claims.

You do not need repair estimates or insurance claims to apply.
