‘KL and Axar are going to lead’: Delhi Capitals co-owner Parth Jindal speaks after day one of IPL 2025 mega auction | Cricket News

According to Delhi Capitals co-owner Parth Jindal, players like K.L. Rahul and Axar Patel will be leading the team in IPL 2025. The Delhi team acquired Rahul for a whopping amount of Rs 14 crore in the IPL Auction on Sunday, November 24th.

On the first day of the IPL 2025 mega auction, the franchise signed nine players including Mitchell Starc, Harry Brook and K.L. Rahul. They also used the Right to Match (RTM) card to acquire Jake Fraser-McGurk for Rs 9 crore.

“We were looking for stability among top managers, a person with experience who could build a pitch. And I think K.L. Rahul, given his record in the IPL, is the one who consistently scores over 400 runs every season. With the Cauldron wicket, I think it will suit his game. We are very happy to have him,” Parth Jindal said after the auction.

“We have a very young squad of players. Both KL and Axar are going to lead them and will guide them. KL’s batting and experience will be a vital cog in the wheel,” he added.

England international Harry Brooke was sold for Rs 6.25 crore, while players like T Natarajan and Karun Nair were bought for Rs 10.75 crore and Rs 50 crore respectively.

“We simply selected the best available talent. We’re looking for a couple more bowlers tomorrow. I think the bowling attack will be very strong. The batting is also strong. Overall it will be a very competitive team,” Jindal said.
