Swansea City build bridges in talks with Ben Cabango and Harry Darling

Cabango has made 196 appearances for Swansea since joining the club’s academy, while Darling has played 85 times for the Welsh club since Russell Martin signed him from MK Dons in 2022.

The duo have started all of Swansea’s league games this season, with Williams’ side conceding just eight goals in the Championship so far.

Williams says the contributions of Cabango and Darling prove why Swansea should be keen to keep them for the long term.

“Imagine being a head coach and having two monsters on the field,” Williams said.

“They can win the ball, they can run, they can head, they can build up positions, they are a threat when attacking from set pieces, so you really need those guys.”
