Ajith Kumar’s ‘The Good, the Bad and the Ugly’ Dropped Out of Sankranthi Race, Producer Hints

Ajith Kumar’s upcoming film The Good, The Bad and the Ugly with director Adhik Ravichandran is heading towards competition. Producer Naveen Yerneni of Mythri Movie Makers shared an update on the release of The Good, The Bad and The Ugly at the Pushpa 2 pre-release event in Chennai. His speech hinted at transfer of the film “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly”which was earlier scheduled to release on Sankranthi/Pongal 2025.

Speaking at the event, producer Naveen said, “The shooting is almost over. We have seven days left to complete the film. We will announce the date soon. We announced the date several times. that we are going to come for Pongal, but… The film turned out very good. We are so confident that our debut film in Tamil will be a huge blockbuster in Tamil Nadu.”

Here’s the video:

When The Good, the Bad and the Ugly was announced earlier this year, it was reported that the film would release on Pongal. The creators have also repeatedly confirmed the release date. However, the pause he made while talking about the release date at a pre-event confirmed that the film has indeed been scrapped for a Pongal/Sankranti release.

Shootings occurred recently in Hyderabad and Spain. Ajith Kumar packed most of his portions and headed to Dubai to participate in auto racing.

Let’s see if director Adhik Ravichandran completes the film’s post-production in a month and releases The Good, the Bad and the Ugly for Pongal. Shankar’s ‘Game Changer’, Nandamuri Balakrishna’s ‘Dhaaku Maharaj’ and Venkatesh Daggubati’s ‘Sankrantiki Vastunam’ are set to release during Sankranthi.
