GOGGLEBOX stars were left devastated when they announced the death of a beloved family member.

Fans showed support for the former show favorites as they took to social media to announce the news.

Stephen Webb and Daniel Lustig say their gorgeous poodle has passed away.

On Instagram, the former couple wrote: “Today we said goodbye to the kindest girl, our princess RIP.”

Stephen, 53, also shared photos of his furry companion over the years.

Gogglebox fans were inundated with support, writing: “Sending lots of love.”

A second said: “Oh I’m sorry to hear that šŸ˜” I know your pain.”

ā€œSending you so much strength in this painful moment,ā€ wrote a third.

And a fourth commented: ā€œSo sorry to hear about your loss. It’s heartbreaking when we lose our fur babies.”

Daniel previously told The Sun how his and Stephen’s six-year marriage eventually ended because they fell out of love with each other and became better friends.

Hairdresser Daniel, who is still Stephen’s business partner, said the couple made the joint decision to end their relationship after many difficult discussions.

Despite the breakup of the marriage, the couple remained good friends.

Stephen previously revealed that he was “fed up” with Gogglebox, which led to his decision to leave the show.

The 52-year-old said: ā€œI thought, ‘I just can’t go back, I’m sick of this.’

He continued to The Mirror: ā€œI got to go to the 10th anniversary of Gogglebox. I started to feel like Ken Barlow… there from day one.ā€

Gogglebox stars: Stephen and Daniel’s relationship timeline

Hairdressing duo Stephen Webb and Daniel Lustig got engaged back in 2016 and married two years later.

The couple co-own a hair salon and live in a Ā£575,000 house on Brighton’s popular seafront.

During the engagement, Stephen appeared on Gogglebox with his ex-boyfriend Chris Ashby-Steed.

Daniel made his Gogglebox debut in 2019 and immediately became a big hit.

Chris, who is now in a happy relationship with husband Tony, has spoken publicly about how the show has affected his mental health.

After moving to Wales and leaving showbiz, Chris said he suffered from anxiety while on the programme.

Just last year Daniel and Stephen shocked Gogglebox fans by announcing they were leaving the programme. Daniel has been a part of the show since it launched in 2013.

Their departure opened up a new world of opportunity for the duo and it was soon announced that Stephen would be taking part in Dancing on Ice. But disaster struck and injury ruled him out ahead of the live shows.

There were further gasps of shock in April when we learned that the couple had split up. They vowed to remain friends and appeared to be keeping their word, sharing a smiling photo with Stephen’s mum on the seashore the next day.
