Tears ricocheted at the sixth and final concert of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in Toronto this weekend.

The pop star was visibly emotional on Saturday after receiving a standing ovation for her performance of “The Champagne Trouble” as she attempted to give a speech thanking her fans and bandmates for their support.

In a video posted on X (formerly Twitter), Swift was seen on stage wearing a red dress with a matching red lip as she began to cry. “To my band and my team, everyone who put so much into this tour, and I don’t even know what I’m saying anymore,” Swift said, her voice cracking as she turned away from the crowd. “I just… sorry… This isn’t even my last performance!”

Pulling herself together, Swift continued, “My band, my team (and) all my fellow artists, we’ve put so much of our lives into this, and you’ve put so much of your lives into being with us tonight and giving us a moment that we will never forget. We really enjoyed our time in Toronto, I love you guys, thank you so much for that.”

The Grammy-winning singer will perform three more shows in Vancouver before officially wrapping up her Eras Tour on December 8th. Swift originally launched a world tour covering all of her past and current albums in March 2023.

The Eras Tour holds a special place in Swift’s heart as it is where her love story with Travis Kelce began. Back in July 2023, the NFL star tried to give the singer his phone number on a friendship bracelet, but unfortunately it didn’t work out the way he hoped.

“I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her performances because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs she sings,” Kelsey previously said in an interview. New Heights podcast, adding, “If you go to Taylor Swift concerts, you have friendship bracelets and I got a whole bunch of them, but I wanted to give Taylor Swift one with my number on it.”

Swift later revealed that they started “hanging out” shortly after Kelsey “blew up” her while talking to Magazine Time in December 2023.
