The Jammu and Kashmir State Staff Selection Board (JKSSB) has released a notification for the recruitment of 669 Sub-Inspectors (SIs) in the Jammu and Kashmir Police Department. According to the official schedule, applications for the recruitment will begin on December 3 and end on January 2, 2025. Once launched, all eligible and interested candidates will be able to apply through the official website jkssb.nic.in.

JKSSB Recruitment 2024: Selection Criteria

— Applicants must be domiciled in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

– To prove their claim, they must have a certificate issued no later than January 2, 2025.

– Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized institute.

“They must be between 18 and 20 years old, and military personnel will be given age restrictions.

– Candidates must also meet the physical standard requirements specified in the notification.

Step 1: Firstly, go to the official website of JKSSB at jkssb.nic.in.

Step 2: Once on the home page, click on the recruitment link.

Step 3: Login to your account and continue with the application process.

Step 4: Fill out all the information accurately and upload the required documents.

Step 5: Pay the registration fee and click “Submit”.

Step 6: Save the form and print it for future reference.

JKSSB Recruitment 2024: Application Fee

To apply, candidates belonging to unreserved categories have to pay an application fee of Rs 700 and candidates belonging to SC, ST-1, ST-2 and EWS categories have to pay Rs 600.

JKSSB Recruitment 2024: Selection Process

The selection process for JK Police SI involves several stages: Written Examination, Physical Standards Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Document Verification Stage and Medical Examination Stage. The written exam will have objective type questions. For an incorrect attempt, 0.25 points are deducted. Specifically, National Cadet Corps (NCC) C certificate holders will receive 5 percent bonus points. NCC “B” certificate holders are eligible for 3 percent bonus points, while NCC “A” certificate holders are eligible for 2 percent bonus points.
