Essential Items to Bring and Prohibited Items to Avoid

Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kolkata is set to conduct the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024 today, November 24, 2024. The exam will be held in three shifts at several centers across the country. Candidates must bring their CAT 2024 admit card and a valid ID proof to the examination hall. Entrance is not possible without a pass.

Basic things to take with you:

Candidates must ensure that they have the following while attending CAT 2024:

A printed copy of the hall ticket on A4 paper.

Valid ID (Aadhar Card, PAN Card or Indian Passport).

Affidavit of the scribe, if applicable.

Prohibited items:

To maintain the integrity of the exam, the following items are strictly prohibited from being brought into the exam hall:

Mobile phones and Bluetooth devices.

Electronic gadgets, including smart watches.

Metal jewelry and shoes with thick soles.

Clothes with large buttons.

Instructions on the day of the exam:

To ensure a successful examination, candidates must adhere to the following guidelines:

Bring your printed admit card and original ID with you.

Please ensure that a recent passport size photograph matching the one submitted in the application is attached to the admit card.

After the exam, drop the admit card into the designated box.

Use only the pen and sketch pad provided at the center and return them after the exam.

The keyboard will be disabled; candidates must use the mouse to navigate.

Mobile phones, gadgets, calculators and personal stationery are not allowed in the examination hall.
