Firefighters contained a house fire despite problems from power lines and propane tanks.

The Butte-Silver Bow Fire Department responded to a fire at a two-story single-family residence.

Crews at the scene found the van and various other items on fire and spreading throughout the building, according to the BSBFD.

BSBFD found several propane tanks escaping, increasing the intensity of the fire, and burned overhead power lines forced firefighters to keep their distance.

Numerous hand lines were deployed and the BSBFD was able to control the fire.

The cause of the fire is being established; according to the BSBFD, there were no injuries.

The house was not completely destroyed, but the full extent of the damage is unknown at this time.
