The Bihar government has introduced a new transfer policy for teachers in the state. Bihar government teachers will no longer have to wait endlessly for their transfer. Under the new transfer policy, teachers can apply for a fair and transparent transfer. It was originally planned that the transfer policy would be implemented in December. On Tuesday, Minister of State for Education Sunil Kumar said that transfer and appointment of teachers will be done jointly for all and this will be done only after completion of five qualifying tests for old teachers appointed through Panchayati Raj institutions and urban local bodies in the state.

As per the new rules, only those teachers who have passed the BPSC exam and qualifying exam will be eligible to apply for transfer. This announcement was made to ensure that the transfer process is merit based. Additionally, this new transfer order will apply to those teachers who are facing specific challenges or special concerns, such as health problems, family emergencies, personal problems, or other exceptional concerns.

Teachers will apply for their transfer in the following ways:

First of all, you need to log in to the e-ShikshaKosh portal (https://eshikshakosh.bihar.gov.in) with your teacher ID.

After this, an information panel will appear, which you will need to open and click on the option “Request for transfer at a special site.”

Three menus will appear on the left side of the screen. Once you click on the transfer request form menu, the OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number.

Once you enter the OTP on the portal, it will be verified.

Finally, the profile of the concerned teacher is available on e-Shikshakosh and the current position details will be automatically displayed on the screen. However, it is mandatory to enter the OTP otherwise you will not be able to apply.

The policy is applicable to all teachers from primary to plus level 2. Transfer orders have been served on many teachers who were waiting for this opportunity. News18, which has been a vocal advocate for a fair transfer policy, played a significant role in making this policy possible. Teachers who once lost hope can now feel encouraged and express their gratitude for these new guidelines and also thanked News18 for its efforts in bringing about these changes.
