I have an Agatha theory about Rio that suggests one character’s death can be reversed

Spoilers for those who don’t know yet. Agatha all togetherthe most enjoyable series for theorizing in TV schedule for 2024 for now, so be careful!

I don’t know about you, but I still feel the pain of losing Lilia Patti Lupone after Agatha all togetherTime-jumping EP “Death’s Hand in Mine.” Her doomed fate became even more intriguing when it was revealed how she seemingly random outbreaks related to her early years in Italy and the discovery that Lilia was the first witch (presumably besides Agatha) to realize Rio’s true identity: Death. But what about the details that weren’t revealed in the episode?

But now I believe that Lilia may have worked some kind of unseen magic that could lead to the return of at least one dead character: Alice Ali Ana, who was reduced to a shriveled husk in Episode 4. Let’s discuss:

I believe Lilia made a deal with Rio to get Alice back

Like many Agatha Fanatics, I’ve been holding my breath as to how this show could just end Alice Wu right after she discovered and then conquered a family curse that essentially ruined her mother’s life as well as their relationship. And like many, I also hoped beyond hope that the characters’ deaths on the Witches’ Road didn’t mean they would actually die in the off-road reality, allowing Alice to live again.

But the events depicted in Episode 7 seem to heavily imply that the line of thinking is flawed, otherwise Lilia’s great sacrifice would have been cheapened by not being seen as a less selfless act. This then led to the idea that it might be worth taking on the Salem Seven – a result that attracted my first big complaint about this series. to date – this was not even her only altruistic step towards the end.

One huge moment that Agatha all together Doesn’t fully show the audience what happens right after Rio reveals his true self to Lilia, right after she falls into the mud with Jen. We get a death message and then nothing. However, given that this happened before Lilia and Jen went underground to find the others, it makes sense that we missed out on a rather interesting and non-lethal conversation.

I believe that during this conversation, Lilia somehow convinced Rio to save not only herself, but also Jen from death, and to top it all off, WhatI think she found a way to make the Green Witch OG. reversing the effects of draining Agatha’s power so that Alice can return to the story to offer her protection and firepower for any final showdowns of the show. Well, I think it would be better to bet on what Lilia will do deal with with Death, and not to make demands.

Given the transition from timeline to timeline, I can only assume that Lilia didn’t know exactly what her fate would be, but either way, I wonder if she promised Rio the bodies of the Salem Seven as well as her own, since that’s a higher level consumption seems to be the only trump card that would be significant enough to convince Rio to agree to this.

The Alice footage from previous trailers finally makes sense

Even aside from the general idea that Alice is a badass character who deserves to remain alive in the MCU, some fan theories about Alice not being completely dead are based on the shot shown above, which appeared in one (or perhaps , several) from Agathatrailers. The character is clearly lying on the floor of the recording studio where Test #2 took place, although he is no longer completely dry and dry, while a hand with long black nails caresses Alice’s face.

Those who suspect Rio of being a death mongering character were convinced that this shot proved that Alice would be back before the end, but there’s not much to go on for now. Why Rio will bring her back. Especially in the episode where she fully laid out the plan where Agatha would take the powers and Rio would take the bodies.

But now that Episode 7 hints at a mysterious conversation between Lilia and Rio, I feel even more confident that the discussion is the missing link needed to fully justify faith in Alice’s eventual return. Plus, it would also possibly explain why Rio didn’t disappear after Agatha came out of the mud and had her big heart-to-heart talk/argument with Bili.

But does this guarantee that Rio will bring back the same bristling but loving Alice that fans have come to love in her meager few episodes? Not in the slightest. Rio could very easily resurrect both Alice and Sharon to become her mindless henchmen or some other dangerous threats, although I’m not sure for what purpose other than just trying to collect other corpses.

While I only hypothesized above, I also legitimately wonder if Sharon could return to the land of the living for the same reasons. I could easily imagine Lilia trying to save both her sister in witchcraft and the one non-witch who was pulled into a completely unfamiliar situation and then died almost immediately. Justice for Sharon!

I hope this theory will not be instantly refuted as soon as Agatha all togetherThe final two episodes will premiere on Disney+ on Wednesday, October 30 beginning at 9:00 pm ET. Fans need more treats than gimmicks as the series comes to the end of The Road.
