Skin Bar opens on Gold Coast and Sydney’s Northern Beaches

Breaking new ground across Australia, The Skin Bar (known for its glow-enhancing microneedling treatments in Sydney and Melbourne) is adding new locations on the Northern Beaches and Mermaid Beach on the Gold Coast.

The salon, run by founder and esthetician Samantha Appel, takes a natural, non-toxic approach to skin care, eschewing injectables such as Botox and fillers. “It’s a new, modern way of skincare—less is more—less injections, less fillers, just focusing on being you,” Appel says. Microneedling involves creating controlled micro-injuries to the skin with fine, medical-grade needles, triggering the body’s natural healing process and increasing collagen and elastin production. With a short break – if you follow a simple skin care routine and don’t wear any makeup on your face – results can start to appear in as little as a week. “You get collagen induction without having to paralyze the muscles,” she says.

The new Mosman and Mermaid Beach salons offer The Skin Bar’s signature line of treatments including Microneedling, Big Gun RF Needling, Herbal B Peel, facial treatments such as the Luxurious Anti-Aging Facial, LED Therapy and the newest option, The Mesoestetic Acne Treatment .

The new additions mean The Skin Bar now has nine locations, all in keeping with the brand’s signature emerald green aesthetic. “The space is intentionally landscaped, creating a calming and warm atmosphere,” says Appel, who admits to having a soft spot for the Mermaid Beach salon. “It’s like a cute little free-standing house. Unlike most commercial premises located along shopping arcades, this is a truly unique place. The reception is one of those places that people just want to take a picture of and share on Instagram.”
