848 are applying for positions as PSC members

A total of 142 applications were submitted for the post of Deputy Chairman of the Public Service Commission (PSC).

The Recruitment Selection Committee also noted that it had received 848 applications for seven PSC member posts as of the close of the advertisement period on November 4, 2024.

The commission selected nine people for the position of vice-chairman and 57 applicants for the positions of PSC members.

The shortlisted candidates for the position of Deputy Chairman were interviewed on 18-19 November 2024.

Interviews for shortlisted candidates for the posts of PSC Members commenced on 19 November 2024 and will continue until 27 November 2024.

“Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed at the Kenyatta International Convention Center (KICC), Fourth (4th) Floor, Meeting Room, Nairobi, on the dates and times specified in the schedule,” the selection committee chairman said in the announcement. Arthur Hosea.

Candidates must carry original national identity cards; academic and professional certificates and transcripts; valid approvals from the following Kenya Revenue Authorities, Criminal Investigation Department, Registered Credit Bureau and Higher Education Loans Board (HELB); A self-declaration form certified by the seal of the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission and a letter of recognition of qualifications from the Commission on University Education (CUE) for candidates holding degrees from foreign universities.

Members of the public were invited to provide any information relating to any of the shortlisted candidates (via the Adavi affidavit) to the Chairman of the Selection Committee, Harambee House, 3rd Floor, Room 306/309, Harambee Avenue, Nairobi, or by email to [email protected].

The PSC is a Constitutional Commission established under Article 233(1) of the Constitution. It consists of a chairman, a vice-chairman and seven commission members appointed by the president with the approval of the National Assembly.

The commission’s mandate includes the establishment and abolition of offices, provision of competent human resources, promotion of good governance and ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in the delivery of quality services in the public service.
