Mirriam Allans said TUKO.co.ke that their journey was full of challenges and they were very grateful to God when her daughter finally graduated from school.

She explained that her firstborn, Arabella, entered Loreto Kiambu Girls’ High School when she was going through tough times both emotionally and financially.

“My daughter started high school when I was recently separated from my other parent. I didn’t have the money to admit her to Loreto Kiambu where she was admitted,” she said.

Nairobi woman receives tuition fees from Good Samaritan

However, when TUKO.co.ke shared her story after she moved from a financially stable family to become a domestic help, a Good Samaritan approached her and asked what she needed.

“A good Samaritan called me through TUKO.co.ke after reading my story and asked what kind of help I wanted. This is an old man, a foreigner whom I have never met or seen. After a few months, I told him that I needed KSh150,000 from my child for his education,” she said.

The foreigner did not hesitate or doubt her, sending the entire amount without expecting anything in return.

According to Mirriam, God sent the kind stranger, and she will always be grateful to him, because she spent part of the money on taking Arabella to school, as well as on opening her restaurant business.

“He first sent me KSh5,000 to confirm if his account could send money to Kenya and then transferred the rest of the money in the same way. That’s how I took my child to school and used some of the money to open my business, Asili Kitchen,” she added.

Why mother and daughter cried at Loreto Kiambu Girls

The mother of three noted that seeing her daughter leave school without ever being sent home for pay was very emotional.

She said Arabella knew all the hardships she had to go through to pay for her education and take care of her and her siblings.

“We cried with my daughter that day because she knew our history and how far we had come. I remembered how she had just joined the first group and how God had helped us through a stranger and another close friend. It wasn’t easy. I told her that we will come back here after she finishes fourth grade to thank the same God and she told me that even in university God will come,” she said.

Mirriam encouraged other parents who feel things may not work out to keep their faith, saying God will provide for them somehow.
