Brock Purdy had a funny reaction to George Kittle’s strong performance on TE Day

If you sat down to watch NFL football in Week 8, chances are you heard once or twice that it was National Tight End Day, a fun day created by some of the league’s tight ends to honor and celebrate all that can be done on field. position.

Kittle decided to stage a grand performance in honor of the holiday. On Sunday night against the Dallas Cowboys, Kittle caught six passes for 128 yards and a touchdown. Along the way, he caught his 500th career reception, placing him 18th on the all-time list, ahead of a handful of players with 498 and 499.

NBC made several wrestling belts to commemorate the holiday and presented them to the winning tight end as well as his two teammates. Kittle got one and was joined by fellow quarterback Brock Purdy and rookie running back Isaac Gerendo, who had an outstanding performance.

After Kittle joked that the belts, which were a little small, might fit on Purdy’s waist but not his, Purdy replied: “It’s George’s world, we just live in it.”

On National Challenge Day, that certainly is the case. A well-deserved moment for Kittle, who helped organize the celebration.
