Week 8 Fantasy Football Recap: Receivers Cedric Tillman, Calvin Ridley, Ladd McConkey Need Your Attention

There’s a lot of worry that Stefon Diggs He has a torn ACL. We need to wait for the MRI. Houston’s receiving corps is in decline. C.J. Stroud This will likely leave the QB1 circle at least until Nico Collins returns (Week 10 at the earliest).

You have to wonder what the Browns record will be with? Jameis Winston in the starting lineup all season. Winston had good days with four receivers. The objection here last week was that Dorian Thompson-Robinson was the real starter, to which I said then and continue to say now: “NFW!”

Cedric Tillman just celebrated a week of winning the league. He was drafted in the third round. He has some size and speed. Now you have to view him as the Browns’ WR1 and the passing attack should be at least league average in terms of production, although we know the Ravens are terrible in pass defense.

The Jets’ lack of screen play was puzzling. Brice Hall also lost goal line carry Braylon Allen. Davante Adams was mostly invisible. The Jets are the worst coaching team I can remember. Perhaps I’m forgetting someone. On Sunday alone, they kicked the opposing team’s 40 on 4th-and-3 (before calling a delay of game), kicked the Patriots’ 11th field goal on 4th-and-in (going to third), didn’t go two over five, got a delay of game on a two-point try in the final minutes, and they were stuck with a kicker that now may have cost them a third game.

Drake May is athletic and a running threat. But we saw the other side of it: he was knocked out early due to a concussion.

The Eagles did a great job. Ja’Marr Chasewho had 54 yards on 11 targets, a shocking underperformance. We just can’t trust Tee Higgins. He has already been injured several times in training. The Bengals don’t have a running game either.

Jalen Hurts played like an MVP. His “Brother Push” reared its ugly head again and cost Saquon Barkley a pair of scores, including one on first down. This has always been a problem for Barkley.

Maybe Zai Flowers Are they really only focusing on bombs? It’s a hard way to make a living. He is, of course, the best WR on the Ravens and probably has the MVP title at QB. I usually work from yards to points, assuming the TD is a fluke (in both directions).

Jared Goff he had one of the craziest results ever. He gained just 85 yards on 15 attempts but threw for three touchdowns. And David Montgomery threw another one. The four receivers with TD catches combine for 77 receiving yards.

Calvin Ridley was fantastic: 143 yards on 15 targets. I doubt anyone played him. I have no confidence in next week, but from a modeling standpoint, that level of targets and yards automatically starts next week.

Over the last seven weeks in my biggest league I’ve scored 97 points against seven different defenses. Of course, I’m just playing in the opponent’s offense. Special teams got lucky, but you have to rely on that. This week it was Detroit. I say this to advise you to save your defense until the last round of drafts so that your plan is to stream, since streaming is what gets you points. You don’t want to get stuck playing so-called premium defense in a bunch of difficult matches.

De’Von Achane will be able to maintain 50% market share without any worries if Tua Tagovailoa becomes QB. I think you’re playing Raheem Mostert as a goal line defender too.

Miami’s pass offense is still wrong – 6.15 YPA is bad. Where are the plans for explosive plays? The league caught up with Mike McDaniel.

Marvin Harrison Jr. has intensified significantly. Kyler Murray was also very good in the second half.

As expected, tight end Cade Otton was a big winner given Tampa Bay’s devastated receiving corps. Baker Mayfield was as productive as we hoped he would be with everyone healthy, so we pass our hat to him.

Not much clarity in Tampa Bay’s backfield, although at least it was a two-man committee (Rachaad White lost his touch).

That’s all Bux said. Trey Palmer was WR1.

Darnell Mooney it was such a winning choice. You just had to follow the guaranteed money given that it didn’t cost you anything. Mooney was a free agent. This dude is easily a top 25 WR, especially when Kirk Cousins nearly as perfect as he was in Week 8 (though two of his three good games came against Tampa Bay).

Bijan Robinson now it’s sort of like Achane for the rich. Bucky Irving This is the poor man’s Achane.

If the post-game comments are any indication, Jordan Love (groin) will be weekly. This makes Green Bay WRs unplayable.

Christian Kirk (clavicle) is reportedly out for this year. This could mean more goals for Brian Thomas Jr. You should be encouraged by Trevor Lawrence’s performance against Green Bay’s best defender.

My D’Ernest Johnson last week’s speculations did not materialize at all. Sorry about that. The main reason was that Love suffered an early injury (he was later removed), which prevented the Packers from scoring points.

Josh Downes made me a liar having to do with Anthony Richardson (31% completed). However, Downs is a sales high.

Joe Mixon was great and the Bengals seem to miss him dearly.

Ladd McConkey had a great game (111 yards, 2 touchdowns) and could have scored a third touchdown. Although I don’t trust this passing insult. But he should be played in a Flex10 format as a fourth WR given that he is clearly capable of scoring 30 points.

I’m shocked by this Amari Cooper haven’t done anything over the past week in Buffalo. My confidence in him being a winning player has been shaken, but I’ll still play him next week and hope for better returns.

Keon Coleman seems well made for Josh Allen’s performance. He is a weapon in the backfield, trusted to either catch the ball, raise the flag, or break up an interception.

Seattle’s entire offense seemed to suffer from the loss of DK Metcalf. Geno Smith I’m used to tight defense, but there’s no point in playing like that in Seattle while Metcalf is gone.

I overestimated Audric Estim. It’s not for nothing that the guys are called up highly in reality. I need to tattoo this on my forehead backwards, so I read it every morning in front of the mirror. (Once they prove they can play, I won’t care about the actual capital project.)

It’s been a slow year for tradable receivers. DeAndre Hopkins being the latest example.

To be fair, Xavier Worthy doesn’t play in the slot because of Travis Kelce and doesn’t have the physicality to serve as an outside WR. So he was wrong about this crime. At least he scored a goal.

D’Andre Swift went from fantasy zero to hero in almost one play. I was disappointed in Caleb Williams against Washington’s poor pass defense.

Jayden Daniels saved the day with a Hail Mary, but to be fair, the Bears’ pass defense is very good.
